off of 2nd lake rd, there are 2 small yellow posts that indicate the entrance , google earth shows the driveway well. the ramp is next to the dam.

Baring a miraculous ice build tomorrow, I say we have our own "Quinte Ling Fling" this weekend?

Anyone down for this?

Okay guys, I'm not from the area so don't understand this depot lake talk.

Could someone please clarify.

I haven't fished yet and a ling is on my bucket list for catching in my lifetime so why not now like everyone is suggesting.

Thanks for any and all responses.

Hey shagdrrotten,

The depot lakes are used for controlling the amount of water in parts of the rideau system. Here is a link I found that should help you out:

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&sqi=2&ved=0CCUQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fquinteconservation.ca%2Fweb%2Fimages%2Fstories%2Fcamping_and_conservation_lands%2Fconservation_lands%2Fareas%2Fdepotlakes.pdf&ei=pDAQT7rADqfe0QHe8Y2LAw&usg=AFQjCNEheqTrML8hzWIefwWyI0P-nF-a8Q

I hope this helps.

We catch them every winter up in the muskokas by chumming our holes with cooked macaroni and then putting more macaroni on a spreader. Works great and have had lots of double headers :-)
