It's being held during the free family fishing week so you don't even need a licence.

I fished this tourney and the fish are weighed on land, given back to the angler and taken to a release boat. The fish doesn't count until it swims away from the release boat. They had no fish die in 328 or so that were weighed in. There were a couple guys that won multiple hours, but they were all different fish as you must release. At no time was anyone permitted to exceed possession limits, so I don't know what the concern is. It is no different than a walleye tournament or bass tournament where fish are culled as bigger ones are caught, it is just done one fish at a time and the fish don't sit in the livewell for hours dying this way either. They are weighed in quickly and released. It was a great tournament, everyone has a chance at winning some money (PS Seeker and I tied for big fish in hour 2), and the proceeds go to charity.
