Ya, I guess so.... Not sure if they were all the same size, but that's gotta be 100 pounds of Lake Ontario Salmon. That's one heck of a feed!!! Probably not very healthy either.

Anyways....Enjoy!!!!!

I wasn't going to post, but then thought hey maybe I'm getting a shot here that is not deserved. Yes I kept the fish for three reasons First reason to let everyone of the folks that share the water at Wellington with us that the salmon are in and I better prove it.
The second reason with family and friends in Verona I will never catch enough to share with them all. Yes most fish walleye and bass with the many inland lakes in the Verona area, but they have one heck of a time catching slamon :wink:and are always very concerned if I'm catching any to share.

When I came in with the five, Chris at the tackle shop asked if possible could he have one, two others was given to a friend at the camp who was going home so he could share at his home.
The third reason I'm a shareholder of a deer hunting camp on Ardock Road along with 9 other fellows. I probably take 50lbs. of salmon nuggets to be deep fried and of course a cooler full of smoked salmon.

I do not keep shakers unless their not going to make it as I believe in three years I will catch them then.

Yes with all of the salmon I have eaten the contamation could be a problem, the wife always finds me in the evening, she says I have a glow on; All this time I thought it was the beer. (lol)

And the forth reason: you caught the fish!! I understand this isn't the same argument that is made about keeping or releasing big walters but personally I don't think you need to explain yourself. Great catch, I can't wait to get out. We have a charter booked next weekend with Scott, and I'll be keeping fish, as many as I can!!!

@ Traveller....It was in no means a cheap shot. I've been fishing for many years, and have kept my share of fish. Not so much anymore, but I still keep the odd one. As I stated earlier, I didn't think that many fish of that size were kept to eat. Lots of fun to catch though. I would never tell anybody to keep or not to keep fish.

If you guys wanna eat them, then go ahead. You have every right to.

P.S....Love the comment about the Glow On!!!!

Have a GREAT Salmon Season evrybody!!!!!!

Hey no problem walleye9, I too have fished for walleye and have eaten a few, being brought up at Hay Bay I have had my share.

I still enjoy the excitement of fishing for salmon and steelheads and we fish every chance the big Lake allows us to get on the water.

I'm sure you have fished for salmon, if at anytime you would like to go out again give me a PM and we can make it happen.
