Wow this story is mind boggling. Was the guy from west lake found at all? It just make me think that something weird is goin on on the local waters. Hope this gets solved and everyone have a safe rest of season. Thoughts are with Charlie's family.

I haven't heard anything about the west lake man since it was handed over to the OPP.

However, that case was an over turned zodiak after strong weather moved in. May both men be found safely.

Sandy Rutherford's body is still missing in West Lake. Local authorities are hopeful that his body will surface in the spring. His family held a memorial service at Wellington & District Community Centre earlier this month.

I hope that this man is found for his family's sake.

As for Charlie Dopking, the problem is that no one saw him underwater. I know that the police are actively looking, they are out there quite often with boats and sonar and they are doing everything possible to find out what might have happened to Charlie.

We keep asking and repeating to the public, we need more clues. Again, anyone who was on the water on November 19th is asked to please contact the Trenton OPP. You may have been out but think you didn't see anything, but you never know. Perhaps the best you can do is say just that and that could be something the police need solidify some theory.

Especially if you know anyone with a red boat. As the latest update in the papers say, it could have said "Lund" or "Springbok" on the side.

Charlie has a big family and many many friends who need answers.

Thanks for reading and posting and keeping up with this story among your regular fishing discussions. One of the recent ones about heat sources, Charlie himself commented on the morning of the day he went missing. He's one of you guys. Thanks for your help.

Hey guys here's Charlie's photo again. The one in the Intel doesn't really look like him, he usually has a beard.

Please share this picture around, and thank you.

Any recent news on this? Family has to be beside themselves with Christmas a week away. Did the identity of the second person ever become known?

Sad to say but without any new information coming out , I don't see how any new developments can materialize.
I really feel for friends and family

Nothing new to report but I know that detectives are still working on the case. I guess we're in the same situation as Mr. Rutherford's family, waiting until spring. Pretty grim. Be safe out there guys... sad that Charlie won't be out on the ice with you this year.
