The name dropping is so obvious, I don't think there's any "wondering" about it lol

The nature of the business !

Enough is enough! c'mon here guys. You can't honestly believe this story! I have seen countless debates over fish that might weigh 10 lbs or 9lbs and yet this guy posts he caught a 35+ incher and he's a hero? So here's a few things we should all consider :

1. This record can be obtained with 20 $ and a friend that's willing to lie and a good picture.

2. I have never in all the conversations I've had with anglers or mnr heard tell of a 34 never mind a 35+. Quinte walleye are known for their girth not length. Most 14lb fish measure in at that 33" mark so a 35 would have to be 17/18 not unrealistic to happen but he says this was 14.10????

3. he claims he didn't know it was potential record for 3 weeks until a friend mentioned it to him.... If that's the case than why no Facebook post of a 14.10 35" walleye caught just "piggies are biting" c'mon grant has never been shy about posting his pbs... Just a few weeks earlier he posted he had a PB of 14.1 so why on a true monster does he just keep it hush hush?

4. marcum and pk spoons .... I call foul! I talked to grant a week before this supposed record when I ran into him at the ramp and it was nothing but buckshots and humminbird so I guess we know who he stands to benefit from the most which in my opinion creates credibility issues.

I will be surprised if 6 months from now the original record holders aren't sitting back at the top with no sign of a 35+ incher.

in today's promotion and advertising market that record alone could bring an easy $100,000-$150,000 in endorsements alone over the next 3-5yrs, to the right individual with connections

Good for Grant!

Wow that's Strange was at Gord Pyzer Face Book page and there are Guys all over it saying they caught 36 inche eyes and they are some Big name Guys. Funny how guys jump on someone when they do well. Great Fish is all I can say well done. Ive used the Lures sonars etc and Yes they work. How else are anglers going to learn. Thanks for the advice is my comment. :D

36" eyes are no doubt common in sask or eirie I'm just saying look at the amount if 14 lb walleye caught here and what the length of those fish are.

If he caught it great but an avid angler like grant would have to know how massive a 35" fish is for Quinte so where's the picture on a tape measure?

I would assume he would've had provide a picture with a tape measure to get this record, no? There's got to be more scruitiny to this live release record system other than just a witness account? If not, I will sureley have Grant beat this Saturday 8O

such records are MONEY IN THE BANK!! so get fish'n!!

the world economy is ruled by advertising and the revenue generation of the sport of fishing has exploded - now's the time to CASH IN!!

every tom, dick and harry has a reality tv show these days, there has never been such opportunity to become richer than your wildest dreams if you must MAKE IT HAPPEN

He would have to submit photos or video of measurements being properly taken. There is no way this would be being considered if all the proper procedures had not been addressed. I say congrats to Grant. He has put his time in on the bay and knows what he's doing out there. I wish the mods would keep closer tabs on all the garbage posts that scrutinize peoples catch's or sharing of information. Makes it real tough to share anything on here.

Read the rules. It's an honour system. When MONEY is on the line honour can be thrown to the wind. The rules stipulate only a pic of the fish being held need to be submitted along with a witness statement. Google freshwater fishing hall of fame and see for yourselves. Grant has worked hard alright at deceiving the fishing community. I know I'm not the only one that see's this! I'll eat my words and anything else all grant has to do is post the pic of his fish on a tape measure that shouldn't be hard right? Better yet ask the guys that fished with him professionally if they believe his story? Where's the rest of the g2 crew?

I didnt google the rules, I'll take your word for it. Assuming you are correct about the rules, in my opinion, those records dont mean much as I completely agree. Anybody can lie about the details and get their name on a "world record". I am not saying Grant did that. No lie detector test, no picture of fish on ruler, nothing to verify proof. Seems pretty wide open to abuse.
