The Itroll will allow you to turn the
Throttle to it's lowest point above stall
Also the Etec has been having problems with sustained trolling the Champion spark plugs foul after about an hr of trolling. This has been in proved in late model engines.

I have an etec 50. With 80 terrova 24v to steer and a trolling plate (has a spring loaded lower half to prevent bending). My etec (2005) is set at 450 rpm and set to use the 100 oil. In cold water I use the brp snowmobile oil 100 ( brp suggested is ok in cold water). If trolling a lot you will need to change plugs twice a year. I charge the 3 batteries while trolling (minnkota on board) and steering with I-pilot, I-pilot can be programmed to run routes previously recorded or use I-link to humminnbird. I wired as well to charge the 3 batteries while driving a distance in my truck.
