Fantastic weather out on the ice today, Paro and I hit Loughborough today instead of Simcoe as originally planned. First off thanks Paro for the great day. Now onto the fishing, 5 hours marked a lot of fish in the again 50 - 60 ft range. Tagged two fish one on a pimple and the other on a Rap # 8 Perch both stayed in the water and not on the ice. Not sure how big they were but the second one double over my medium heavy HT rod to the point where the tip was beyond the cork grip. With that the Fish (Laker??) barely showed any movement my way then ripped 8-10 ft of line and said goodbye. First trip marked fish, second trip had chases, third trip tagged 2 next trip on the ice.

I struggled to mark anything for a good hour. When i did wake up there was one there lol. There needs to be some kind of alarm to wake one up when a fish moves in. With the great weather and a good nap in it was a awesome final day with Fry Flier on the ice. The hut is put away for the year the snow is slowly allowing me to open the garage door to start getting the boat ready for some ice out Pike. Always going to whine about not fishing enough even if I fish 7 days a week lol. Maybe next year i will get out more than 3 or 4 times on the ice.

Yes but if you sleep on the ice it will keep you up at home and you will need to watch more TV. Here I thought it was ice quakes and it was only snoring.
