I'll have to try that area out for carp this year.This summer was the first time i went carp fishing on the trent. I caught a dozen rangeing from 12 to 23 pounds. What a blast!! A buddy of mine at work showed me how to rig up for them ,now other fish seem to fail to really give a good fight.Carp are strong pulling fish!They make it easy to practice c&r to.Maybe we can hook-up this spring for some carpn'.Hoser i also have heard that you can catch them fly-fishing :wink: .

on the fly fishing forum I am a member of there are some good tips, small nymphs work very well from what I've heard, and during the spring I've heard they'll even take a dry fly :o I'd be taking my 8weight with the disk drag fly reel for those beasts ! wife caught one on some corn with her 6'6 lightweight 2 years ago, there was nothing you could do but hold on, took 20 minutes and still had alot of fight left, but we got him in. that was in the trent at the dam at glen ross.
