I have been trying to get on a BOQ muskie for years, its hard water to find them. I always end up getting discouraged and start going for pike and bass. Every time I go out thou I a have a rod setup for muskie and do a few casts before I switch up my setup for other species.

Finally caught one, right near Meyers pier about two summers ago. Really small guy, 20 inches tops, but like usual the small ones have amazing markings. Caught him on a good sized bucktail. I’m usually fishing around Belleville and Big Bay and have only had 3 follows from fish I am certain were muskies in the last 4 years.

Like I said hard water to find them, I have a lot better luck just going to Moria Lake or Stoco Lake……but I like the challenge of targeting a BOQ muskie.

Cheers

Aron

My brother has got 2 from Meyers pier, Musky that is! And my buddys have caught a few all in the same spot around the same time of year 2, the colours on all of them were different! And the Northerns are nice at certains times as well! Shore fishing! And the rivers feeding the bay are loaded with many nice musky as well!
