Actually, I have brought not one but two fifteen-pounders into my boat, but neither caught by me.

The first one was the worst. November 21, 1999 if I remember correctly. I gave it away to a girl I had just met for the first time that day! Her name is Paulette, and the story is posted here on the website, although I can't find it. It weighed in at 15 lb 12 oz. A little tiny silver CC shad on a clip-on side planer in front of the cement plant around mid-day.

Neil gave me sh|t: "Bloody 'ell, didn't you even feel how it weighed before you handed her the rod?!" I replied, "Dude! I was out solo fishing in Picton harbour the night before, and caught 19 fish trolling alone! That's like about 200 lbs of fish by myself! It seemed like the gentlemanly thing to do." "You're still a bloody wanker," Neil replied.

The second was caught by my dad, December 22, 2001 I think. Just as it was getting dark, in front of the gazebo on the south side of Picton Bay east of Merland's. Flat lining a silver #9 Shad Rap. That was 15 lb 3 oz. There's a photo of it here on the website somewhere, too.

Cheers and beers, eh?

P.S. edit - can any of you guys please find the links to the above two posts?

Ooops, I wasn't very clear above. I wrote stories of the two 15 pounders here on this website. They are hiding somewhere back around 1999 and 2001, but I couldn't get the search engine to work to locate them.

If someone could post the links to the two stories above that I wrote back in the day, you could read about the fish and see photos. The photo of my dad is particularly good. Lots of guys here must remember it.
