Made it down to Quinte for my second trip of the year. Well worth it, even though I hand the hot hand at getting them to bite, just not putting them on the right side of the ice
Started out at about 8:30am after the walk out, kinda think its crazy to be out on the 4 wheeler just yet, a lot more braver souls than I buzzing around.
About 15 minutes in and I had called some fish in, as I was getting a few perch. Then bam first one on and I lose it, I snap!! Just kidding
I lost 2 fish before I iced this one.
Then I get a perfect eater up to the hole only to pop off, lucky fish!!! Then I iced another one same size as the first, no pic though of that one. I hear some scampering around next door in my buddy Bryans hut. Low and behold I pop out and take a quick photo.
We get a few more perch and I lose a few more fish
and few more **^!$** are mumbled!!!
We iced a few more walleye, Bryan hauls out this lengthy fish, not much girth so it must a been a big male.
When jeepboy18 shows up for the afternoon fish. The nice fella I am, I drill him and his Dad a few holes and in 5 minutes I hear a hollar from his shack. I run over to be the photographer again!!!
But thats okay cause we are catching them, well they are cause I lost 8 fish today and only iced 3..... but its not a skunk!
The big fish of the day was only a couple of minutes after jeepboy18 s fish. As Bryan comes running over with this hog for a few pics. What a beaut!!! Crazy smile on his face too!!!
Boy was that one fat. No weight just a nice couple photos and a quick release!!!
All in all we iced 9 fish, and we lost a ton between all of us, they hit all day, just sporadic at times.
Here is a couple photos of the 1rst time we went, never made it in that report.
Too tired.
(I had paper towel on the floor to catch the slime)
Cant wait to return for round 3
