Quinte Fishing

Good day,

I am new to the forum and appologize for starting my participation with a request... I am planning on trying my luck for walleye and sheephead this week. Coming from Ottawa and using a 18 ft boat, which would be the best ramp to use?

Depends where you plan on fishing...

Finkles - bath
Glenora ferry
Deseronto
Picton harbour

Are the 4 main choices. If fishing east of the ferry (adolphus reach) you would likely want to launch at Finkles or the ferry to avoid long run to fishing grounds.

If you’re fishing long reach or Sherman’s point area then I’d launch at deseronto. Decent run up the reach that’s sheltered from east and west wind while being close to hwy 401.

I am aiming at trolling East of the ferry so I guess Finkles would be closest.
