as if gettin skunked all the time is bad enough...yesterday i let a friend spud a hole after i made mine....just as hes makin the last swing at a small chunk in his hole...FOOM!....the damn spud went strait to the bottom of the bay....now i got no way to make holes so ill be doing more 'scouting' now....and folks...potters is DEAD,its a ghost town under that ice......gonna find more productive waters...and holes left over i hope!

Should have had a rope on it to wrap around your hand, I would wrather knock a hole for a friend then, let them use my spud, .

thing is i had just pounded 3 holes,2 in hut one for a tip up a few trds away...i was tired out and HOT so he tried to finish the last hole...and...well...thats that.now today i want to go but have no means of makin a hole.

I'm sure someone on this site can help ya out with an old/spare auger for a decent price? if I didn't live 4 hours away you could have my 6". I will say you're persistent and I hope a big 12lb'r swims your way bud! good luck

$74 for an auger at crappy tire...no clue how i gonna free up that much but im mulling the idea over...i was told to never bother buying a used auger

I dont know why ur worried about it ur buddy should be replacing it (if he hasn't already) anyone that borrows and wrecks or looses another persons gear should be man enuff to replace it!!!!!!! whats a spud worth?? ive never bought one ive always had my Dad make them! treat yourself go get a new power auger and make ur buddy pay what the spuds worth!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, your buddy should be buying you a spud, if he's any buddy at all... Also, $26 for a spud at pro tackle.

Get a piece of a broken leaf spring ,have it welded to a piece of pipe. grind a edge on the spring without over heating it will be the best spud you ever had, don't loan it to anyone

i found a used 8" fin bore 3, what an auger, i made sure that if i bought new blades it would still come in under what a new fin bore is worth. turned out the blades were mint.

i see lots of 8" augers for sale on the simcoe perch boards, guys buy them and realize they need a 5" or 6".

and yeah ur buddy should be buying u a spud.

i just bought a new hand auger this year. i bought a strike master auger. i have an extra auger, only had it for 3 years. still works good. Im looking to sell it. pm me if intersested.
