Fished 8:30 - 6 on Friday. Started at Big Bay in Deseronto and trolled all the way back to Hay Bay, 1 Pickeral 18 1/2" for 10 hours work  Was caught at Thompson's on Chartreuse Uzick. We tried everything this weekend....Taildancer's, Rogue's, Storm holographic minnows, jig and worms and only the Uzick came through! :D Fished the local mini tournament that Fatman and Fred organized and WON! The Uzick can now lay claim to being a tournament winning lure  LOL. There were 5 fish caught at the tourney amongst 22 anglers. Three 17 - 17 1/2", one 22 1/2" and one 24". The margin of victory was extremely close as the slot fish didn't count. Thanks guys for organizing it, Joanne couldn't wipe the smile off her face the rest of the weekend (she doesn't win much). We all had such a great time that a bunch of us Bayview Resorters are planning on doing a similar tourney next July .... we're shooting for the first weekend. Fished only an hour Sunday and Monday with no results. Good to note though, the fish seemed to be STACKED in 40 feet of water just off of Thompson's in the Reach....the fish finder was marking them like crazy! Tried to get them to bite with jigs & worms, the storm minnows, real minnows (my dad left me a couple before he left) taildancers and couldn't get 'em to bite. Mind you, the 22 1/2 that was caught on Saturday was at the yellow marker. My dad caught 5 nice smallmouth up in Desronto as well by the way. Anyways, couldn't have asked for better weather. Will be back up in a couple of weeks so hopefully the bite will improve. Cheers.

Ken

Tough weekend, Ken

We closed yesterday Tuesday and I'm gonna be there next Monday.

It looks as though our paths aren't going to cross with my days off on Monday & Tuesday, c'est la vie.
