Hey guys the weekend started off slow. Saturday morning I caught one walleye about 2lb on a size 7 perch jigging rap. The bite was short only lasting about half an hour with the odd fish showing up once in a while. Went in for something to eat and was back on the ice by 2:30. The bite was on! I caught 6 eyes; 2 that were 6.5lb, and 4 in the 2 to 4lb range. Lost one hawg at the hole on the jigging rap. All were caught on silver/green side winders of the 2.5" and 3.5" size with either a single minnow or single minnow head.
Sunday was even better starting with 5 fish in the morning and ending with 8 in the evening. The bite was a bit slow in the morning but over a few hours i got 5 in the 2lb range on silver/green side winder, fire tiger crippled hearing and a silver/gold tape blue fox jigging spoon. The fish were on fire from 4 till 5pm in which time I caught all 8. 2 were on a silver/green Side winder and the rest were on a #7 perch jigging rap with a small back hooked minnow on the treble. All fish were around 2lb, no biggins. By the end of Sunday the bit of slush under the snowy hard crust was getting harder. Till next week!
