I've never ice fished Quinte before, but am thinking of a trip down there in the next 2 weeks.
I have a portable hut, and walk to my fishing sites.
I need some advice from locals as to where to go that I can walk to and with safe ice.
Picton?
Trenton?
I'm hoping someone can give me a few tips.

Hi Genec,

Welcome aboard. I think you will have a tough time getting spot recomendations based on ice conditions right now. Its very difficult to predict what the ice will be like given the recent weather patterns. IE +7 today and +9 tomorrow. You're best bet would be to watch the board for recent reports once you get closer to the date.

That said the "safest" ice is typically found in low current areas ie Hay Bay and Belleville area.

Repost this when you're within a couple days of coming down and im sure someone will give you some ideas.

Cheers
