Greetings to all. My cousin and I are planning our first trip to Picton Bay on the 15th (we were supposed to go last year in early Dec, but weather didn't cooperate). Our wives will probably let us go out for 1 day or 1 night, so we want to make our time as productive as possible.

What time of day should we try to be on the water? Are daylight hours productive, or should we plan to be on the water overnight? Or should we try to be out as dawn or sunset breaks? There won't be much of a moon...don't know if that factors into the night time bite on Quinte or not.

Other than that, we'll be starting off with planer boards, diving cranks and/or shallow cranks with snap weigths and lots of coffee from the Tim's in Picton. If the charter boats are out, we'll be in the same area, but not in their way. Any other tips are gladly welcomed.

Thanks in advance,
MTC
