Launched out of Picton at 7pm. Long story, but was aiming for 4 pm. Trolling just outside the harbour, down the south side to Merland Park. On the way back towards the harbour at 8:45 pm landed a 13.1 at the green marker buoy. Immediately after, I landed another 5 minutes later. This one was 12.0. We were thinking the lady luck just turned on the bite, but that was it for us. Note: The inside line on the turn got both fish, suggesting perhaps we were trolling a bit to fast. We only used the electric tolling motor and had absolutly no wind for the evening and I was not trolling very fast.
As we were trolling into the launch, PEYC had 3 guys fishing from the dock. We watched 2 more fish pulled in right at 10:00. I did not ask the size, but both appeared to have good size. See you next weekend.
