coming down next week end will be staying at the sportsman hotel anyone stay there before and how far to the closes boat ramp.any info will be helpful and be very appreciate it.

Hey High Hopes, if you read back a couple messages you'll see RonH mentions you're only about 2 miles from the ramp so you should be able to find it. It's at the Tip-of-the Bay Motel. Also sounds like you'll be close to Merlands, Im sure the good people there will be glad to point you in the right direction.

As for good spots to try. Just look for all the boats. With the get together on you'll learn the areas to try real quick. Good luck!

High hopes,

We have been staying at the Sportsman Inn for the last 3-4 years in both the spring and fall. It is just about a 5 minute drive down the road from the launch. Rooms are nice and clean. I think the rates are pretty good too.
