Just a quick report on are last fishing of the year...

Got out fishing on Saturday at 8:00 and fished till 6:00 pm. Landed just 3 fish. One was 11.5 lbs which was caught east of the ferry. The other 2 fish were caugth west of the ferry trolling towards the cement plant. Fishing was really tough due to the high winds.

Sunday was a much better day. Fished from 8 am to 2:30 pm. Managed to land 8 fish with one lost one. Caught a new personal best, a 11.75 lber. All fish caught east of the ferry. Had to use more weight with the snap weight system.

The other boat in our party manage to bring 3 fish in on the Sunday. 2 were beauties, a 12 lber and a 13lber. Nice to see they got a couple nice ones for their first trip to the Bay of Quinte.

Time to pack up the boat. I would love to come back again but the 3.5 hour drive is a killer some times.

Cheers,

Mike

Sounds like a great way to finish the season Mike. We came down from Quebec to fish out of Merlands. Had a great time and my fishing buddy came second out of 60+ fisherman. I think I came 13th/14th. Things were getting a litle blurry by then. Friday - Sunday we landed 18 fish most in
the 10+ range. We nailed a lot of fish on a downrigger/ HJ clown combo.
1 fish had the ugliest collection of sores I have ever seen ona fish. Fished out by the ferry and watched a few good games of dodge the ferry! Any way we couldn't have come down and caught these numbers if it wasn't for this great board and contributions from dudes like yourself.
Have a great winter,

Jimbo
