There hasn't been any talk of fishing the big Lake Ontario this year.
I took the boys out today and we had a couple good hits but nothing stuck. There was about 9 boats out there. I was wondering if anyone has been catching any out there.
We marked most of the fish around 20-40 feet over 70-90 fow so we ran two dipsys set on number 3 out the sides down 30 feet, one steel line and one deep diver straight back. Tried rapalas, spoons, and a flasher with a fly. One hit a blue & silver spoon on the steel, the other hit the fly.
I'll be out next weekend. Any hints would be great.

I went 4 for 4 on Friday. 2 small salmon, 1 laker, and a brown

7 for 7 today 3 salmon, 3 rainbow, and a brown.

I have been off Salmon point and it has been all a spoon bite. Most fish have been 55 ft down.

Try spoonpullers website for your lake ontario info. or lakeontariounited, spoonpullers is a little closer to home content.
I have been getting rainbows at Port darlington and Lakeport, have not been out yet to the bonnett but hope to get out this weekend.
good luck
