Hey Pete nice job on the write up and just so you know I thought that was scent dripping off the gas tank lure. We got one on it and 5 more on the DHJ12 Clown.

Next year I'll have to make it a priority. I was noticing as part of Pete's equipment used for the day, he had a heater! Aren't we the pampered TV show host? LOL :wink:

That was a great write-up, and obviously a great time had by all. What are Kevin and Jennifer going to do next year when 100 of us want to come down for this gig? Great story!!!!

I never thought of bring a heater(next time) Even if John and i did not get any double digit fish we had a great time on the Bay, leaving Ottawa at two am too get there before light :lol:

I was hoping to make the trip down this saturday(Nov.29) but the winds were to strong, maybe next weekend :wink:

What a great fishery you people have on the Bay and I,m looking forward to many more trips down

I thought I seen Pete Bowman go buy me during the day ,but I was'ent sure it was him till I seen the touque he was wearingin the photo's Now that's all i seen of him was his touque (must of been standing) :wink:

I've seen fishers with boats with split double consoles, having a propane tank with one of those propane heaters on top and having it bungied into the space between the consoles.

With the canvas up and sidecurtains on, then they have a warm space for those cold fall evenings.

Always though it would be kinda neat and WARM.

It sounds nice and comfy, wish I bought a boat with Duel consoles instead of a single console ,I'm going to work on a guy that makes custom tops in Kars Ont. to see if he can make a fowl weather top and curtains for next season

Call me crazy but I usually bring my portable BBQ. Kinda nice to be able to cook up dogs, warm up pizza, KFC or set your cotton gloves on to warm them up.

Just be sure to have a Class 3 exstinguisher on board as well.

I have a propane stove with at all times, I have to eat cold boring sandwichs during the week,when I fishing we always cook bacon eggs home frys or Hamburgers ....ect nice to eat a hot meal when your on the water all day, I did'nt bring it to the bay thinking the water was going to be to rough for cooking i should have brought it!!it's also nice to make a hot cup of coffee when the weather starts to turn cold, :lol:

Thanks for checking out the article.

As for the camera Weedman, we use a Nikon Coolpix 950 (it's a few years old) but it works well. I usually try and shoot on normal mode instead of basic simply because there's more information to work with. I edit them in Photoshop and that can really make a nice difference. It's by far the best photo editing program out there.

The "heater in the boat" deal is something I started doing a few years back on Quinte. I usually use 2 Coleman Blackcats. They're a Catalytic style heater meaning there's no open flames. They're great for warming up the hands & feet, changing baits and even thawing out a brick hard sandwich.

I couldn't resist and picked one up at Barklay's yesterday for $40 at their big sale

Pete was showing off the fish from the fish fry and I had my eyes closed, Guess I couldn't believe how good the fish was. :oops:
