Went out to Loughborough today, on the water, with lines in by 11. A little later than I like, but when you are on a bender the night before, the headache slows you down!
Anyways, we caught three small lakers, biggest was probably 3lbs. 2 of the three were caught on a Live Target Smelt. The other one was caught on a shiner minnow. Used Lucky Strike lake trolls, silver and brass finish. Lost 2 others, one that actually pulled drag and felt like a nice one, but there will always be that one that got away!

There is a launch on the west end, on Loughborough drive off Sydenham rd, but there is no designated parking and you would have to park on the road. The ramp on Perth Rd has a good sized parking area, splits the lake in half and gives you quick access to the west basin where the lakers hang out. Probably better off to launch there. If your comming from Belleville take 401 east to division st. exit and head north. Launch is about 2 k north of inverary. Good luck.

If you launch at perth rd/Division st and are heading to the western part of the lake for the first time be careful, there is a prominent chanell that zig zags out to the lake and comes up real quick, those who know it will run on plane but first timers should take there time, you can open it up after the rock/white jug on your left, airplane usually there, also be careful not to turn sharp left when you first enter the main lake as this is a shoal that is quite large and shallows up in a few spots. If you are using Loborough drive it is a shallow launch for small boats only and the locals get upset if you block part of their driveways.
