Just a shout out and a big thank you to Joe Dibbit of Dibbits Excavating. My son and I put in at Point Anne this morning and ran across to Trident point area. Fished most of morning with little to show but a few perch. We fish out of an old 14 ft aluminum and sometime during the no action, I must have stepped on the gas line or something was placed on top of the fuel tank. Trolling along the outboard suddenly quit , which is a rarity, I attempted to pull her back to life to no avail. I reached down to give the ball a squeeze to make sure it was hard. Squeezing the ball sent fuel flying from the tank connector. Upon closer inspection the connector was broke at the fitting where it starts into the gas line. A clean break. As luck would have it I gave my spare to a guy on Bark lake this summer who was having trouble!! With only 1 other boat working the area we managed to get there attention and they came over. This gentlemen offered to tow us to shore but I explained to him we had put in at Point Anne. Not a problem he says and threw us a line. He never hesitated to give us a tow even though he was by the looks of it spending the day with his daughters fishing. Can't thank him enough for giving us that long tow back. Its nice to see there are still a few nice guys left out there. Thanks again Joe...............tight lines to you from the walleye gods!!!
