Hey Guys, I was out on Tuesday morning for about 2 hours and only got one nice walleye. Location may have been the problem, but bait choice may have also been the problem. I was using a green lindy rig with a float built in. Caught one nice walleye, about 3 lbs., but after he was caught, I realized I may have been using the wrong bait all morning. While in the livewell he regurgitated 7 minnows/shad (I think they are shad?) They were quite sizeable. I am wondering if the cold weather has started them feeding already, as he seemed to just keep gorging himself!

Caught him between the green buoy and island across the bay from Snake island, trolling along the edge of the weedbed.

Cheers,
Brad

hard to tell, but i think they are gizzard shads, or ale wives.
live target makes some nice baits in gizzard shad pattern.
