I think your right fireball (steve).
I do have my personal best area's(that i don't give up) but if asked I do tell how deep what color's baits //on rocks // on ledges etc.
I seem to remember possibly talking to you when prefishing with a friend of mine for one of his tournament's. Everyone was just pulling out that afternoon(bass boats) and we spoke briefly while loading up. There was a guy (solo) with black Ranger also pulling out that day that seemed pretty interested in how everyone made out. I spoke with him and he wasn't in the fish at all that day.
Don't feel slighted I was tight lipped that day just because of up coming event for my buddy.
Don't feel bad I was pulling out of Finkle last year 2 days before the Canadian open and the "hunter / angler " T.V guy's where already at the launch looking pretty down in mouth. It was windy and I think they where out in the big water with there Predator and struck out hard.(beat up to)
I was nice enough to show them what I had caught that day on my digital camera
But he did ask where and with what so I threw him tube bait and showed him the shoal on my G.P.S
He looked alittle shocked when it was Kerr Point Shoal. You can almost see the "can" from the launch.
It's like a lot of smally spot's, they vary from year to year in quality.
It was the least I could do for them guy's....someone was going to have to clean all my drool off the side of there boat , man what a sweet set up.
