Heard through the grapevine that the "Wallskies" are at the Bonnet. Waiting for Trannyman to verify this. Get out there Al !!!

Funny thing Dave. I was going to post that I heard the same thing. You saved me starting a new thread. :D :D

Rumor has it that last weekend there was a boat that caught more than a half dozen large eyes in that vicinity.

The Grand Slam will be out Sunday morning geared for walleye trolling. I will have Grizz & Big Gene aboard for the search & destroy mission. Are there any other boats willing to join the search pattern. We will be on channel 71.
Probably leave the dock around 6 am.

Al

Is this normal time ??? the fishing in the k-town area has been unreal, both bass and walleye.
but i remember the walleye being real good first week of august, and it wasnt, didnt start till the last few weeks to get good, still good, lots of guys onto them...
except you wont find eaters, unless you eat them 7 plus pounds.

Al, i would love to hear what kinda pattern you guys figure out, and how you get there, you will have over 100 years of fishing experience in that boat with you. you are diffently a embassador for the salmon guys, maybe you can give us walleye guys some help..
Thanks,
steve

Heard on the radio the other day that Environment Canada predicted the next 2 months will be warmer and dryer than normal. I hope you're right!!! I love summer, but LOVE cold water better!!!!

According to Al, they are in tight to the island about 20ft. of water. I was catching alot of smallies on the west tip in the same amount of water but I was too early for the "Wallskies". Make sure you have a strong stomach , the commorants just about kill a person. Too Bad about that poor bastard in Kingston getting caught and fined for killing those birds. He got a $5000.00 fine and had to give a thousand to ducks unlimited. We should take up a collection and pay his fine for his good work!

Hey sronza, not sure where we are going to start. I'll probably stop and do a temp probe at McFaul Shoal & take a look on the north side of the shoal. Not sure where the dude last weekend got them.

Dave is correct that the north side of the Bonnet Island is a good place in October but may be a bit early yet. This time of the year I tend to lean toward the trench that runs between Palen Bank and the Scotch Bonnet Shoal (not the lighthouse island).
Anyway we will have the radio on channel 71, give us a call. We will be leaving at 6 am. The more guys searching the quicker it will be to locate the school.

Al
