In front of gan there are a lots of shoals, the bottom is very rough. Troll along the shoals big cranks different depths until you find them. you should have some fun with pike while you looking for them. I had some good luck with 13X quick fish lures

Fish the structure as much as you can , 4.0 - 4.5 , big baits , if you think the lure looks big , go bigger :D

Black ant is a small island by the US border, look around and yuo should be able to find it. I have a couple 14" Jakes that are going to get washed and hopefully produce!

Hi guys,

Jakes, Grandma seem to have the best luck in the 1000 islands. Bigger the baits the better 10inchs and up. The water there is very clear. You can see down 35 feetish. You definitely want to try a few techniques. One is run your baits near and against the rocks. Let the baits hit once and a while. The other way is open water trolling for suspended fish. Watch your finder and use long leads. Most use at least 200 feet behind the boat. Running baits down 12' to 20'

Have patience, I know a lot of guys that fish there exclusively and they put many...many hours in between fish. You will be fishing waters the hold the world records! It is all worth it when you get that super tanker on.

Good luck!
