Hey guys. I am about to purchase Humminbirds 597 ci di hd and it is navionics compatible, but I can't figure out what chip to buy. Some reviews say that the Fish n Chip is great, but also people say that hotmaps is the way to go.

For all of you guys who use Navionics, a little help would be greatly appreciated.

The quickest way to answer the question is where do you fish?, If you are only going to fish the big lakes and Bay Of Quinte then I would recommend the fish n chip, it has unbelievable detail, if you fish all over Ontario and would like to have access to most of the major lakes, then check out the Platinum Plus. It not only gives you Ontario but all Canadian Lakes.

Radioworld has some very informed people, you should call them and tell them exactly what you want to do and they'll assist you in picking what you will need to satisfy your needs.

Agree with Gene about calling Radioworld. Explain your needs, and they'll hook you up. I have Hotmaps (Lakes Canada) Not sure if has the Great Lakes though. (Never tried it) I fish mainly the Kawarthas, and Quinte, and it works great for me. Was fairly cheap too!!! $120 I believe.
