Fished with Jason today out in the reach. it was a 0-0 tie so the way i see it is I win, he didnt out fish me so I WIN!!! . always a great time fish or no fish when i fish with Jason, just wanted to send a lil post of the findings, we put in a few miles and a few hours was suprized that we really didnt mark many fish and saw very little bait out there, put in a lil time around keiths shoal and the shores close by on the north and the south side, weather was fair over casted with fog and rain and a bit of a chop late morning. its anybodys guess right now my guess is its a tad early yet, happy fishing boys i hope better posts will soon follow......... one last thing, did i mention I win grizz rules Jason drools

Ok yes Grizz did win!!!! But what he isn't telling everyone is I was fishing with a hola popper and he had every thing from walleye divers, TD 11's and everything else you could imagine. Lol
The hola popper he gave me to fish with didn't even have hooks on it. I did have one good fish on it which we both seen and I swear it was at least 15.4lbs. Oh well win some and loose some. The things we do for seinor citizens. Lol.
Good luck all and keep your fingers crossed for a early freeze up!
Next time I think we are gonna hire a guide !
Jason

I was in the reach this morning too with my son. We were skunked too. We started east of the ferry and trolled down on the north side then crossed just before keiths shoal and trolled back. Then we ran into Picton bay and nothing there either. Should have went to Wellington I guess. The weeds on my boards were a pain.

rtkman, 2 1/2 to 3 foot waves in the big lake. Would have been a rough ride to the Bonnet.
Surface temp back up to 65 degrees F. They are still there but really tough to catch until temps get back to 54 to 58.

Later
Al

P.S. Hey Grizz, no ties tomorrow buddy.

Was out most of the day today, covered alot of water! Lost 1 small at the point and 1 large in long reach, i didnt get a chance to see either so they could have been sheeps.

On the west side of long reach i was marking gobs of stuff that looked like bait fish and larger marks around them. They were sporadic, so not sure if they were weeds or my finder was out, but looked like lots of bait. Most at the 15' mark in 25+ FOW. This is where i lost the big one.

Been skunked 2x this week, not heading back out until next week.
