The Canadian Bass Anglers Federation is coming to Belleville on October 1st and 2nd for our annual “Federation Cup” fishing tournament. The purpose of the CBAF is to provide new and experienced anglers with an affordable entry into organized tournament bass fishing while fostering the spirit of friendship, learning, and conservation. About 200 anglers from Chapter clubs across Ontario will descend on the George Street boat launch facility with fish being brought to the scales on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Stop in for a visit between 10 and 5 o’clock. Take in some displays and enjoy some free popcorn or cotton candy at the Everstart tent. Catch the weigh-in and maybe even meet a personality or two from your favourite fishing show. We will have some giveaways for the kids and plenty of fish stories. To thank the people of Belleville and the entire Quinte region for hosting our event, this year we will be collecting non-perishable food items for the food bank and cash donations for a local children’s charity.

To compete you must be a member of a CBAF club such as the Quinte Bass Anglers.

There is a club vs club component to this one. We have 20 guys from our club taking part. Wish us Quinte boys luck! We plan to put it to the :D other clubs.

Day one of the federation cup has been canceled due to high winds, 5 foot waves greeted the first boat to launch. Diffently a smart move for safty reasons.

Not looking any better for Sunday. If Sunday is cancelled, will they move it to next weekend?

Our sponsors are still setting up their display. Cotton candy, popcorn, kids giveaways are still a go for today at George street. Food bank and Foundation donations are of course still being collected.

It has just been posted on the CBAF website that the Fed Cup is officially cancelled due to weather conditions.
