went down for a walk , and was just disgusted to see a bunch of clowns casting HUGE 3 way hooks into a hole a snagging those salmon!!!!!!! sat their and harrassed them for a good hour just tearing into them!!!!!! PLEASE PEOPLE NO SNAGGING!!!!!!!! IF YOUR NOT GOING TO FISH PROPERLY THEN DONT FISH AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! AND LEAVE THE EGGS ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SEEN A WACK OF FEMALES JUST TORN OPEN!!!!!!!!! COME ON FOLKS!!!!!!!!

i am assume you mean natives, they due what they want, if its not, the proper thing to do, is pertend you dont see what they are doing, go hide in the bushes and take pictures and call the mnr.
or at least thats what i would of done, i have never seen this done..
i feel your fustration thou.

I think its referring to Bronte near oakville? maybe im wrong, havent heard of a bronte near quinte. Ive seen people snagging salmon at kingston mills before also, I dont beleive this is a native issue, they could spear if they wanted to, wouldnt make sense to use a line and a treble hook...

once the salmon get past the deep water of the harbors and river mouths this is what you will see on every trib running into lake ontario on both sides of the lake...been going on since the big salmon were first stocked many yrs ago and probably will continue..... it is truly a gong show in these shallow rivers.... in the bigger faster water tribs snagging is still a problem but is a litlle harder... not a pretty site at all..

where at kingston mills ???
kingston mills rd, it crosses the locks, and there is the parking area ??
sorry fish that area alot, its very close to my house, and when i dont feel like taking the boat out, i just grab a rod, and make the short drive there.
