Just curious if it is preferable to troll with spinners, troll with crank baits, or to anchor and jig? I'm new to the area, and cant for the life of me figure out what to do. I have been on the water a few times with no luck.

Thanks for the help.

Dan

Also, do the walleye ever come in close enough for late night "off the dock" fishing? Where my house is (couple houses down from Blakewoods) the water drops quickly to about 17 ft.

You could always try off the dock at night, they'll chase bait fishi into the shallows, use long thin lures and retrieve VERY SLOWLY......

Just keep watching the water at Hay Bay and you'll soon see where the fishing is happening.

The Bonnet is a very small area. They are up on the shoal 1 day and off the next. After looking at the surface temp maps this morning, I would have to say it would be a crap shoot if they were there in enough numbers to catch.

But then again it is still too early for good success on Quinte. :?: :?:

You will have to go to the archives and go back to about the 9th of Oct.

Thanks SuperDad. I went out last night and tried for a while. All I caught were sheephead, but boy were they fun.
