Maybe try talking to the staff at Gagnon Sports. They may be able to help you out.

I doubt that they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

It would be worth a shot to try the harbor though, I have seen some nice pike caught there. The biggest walleye I have ever personally seen was caught by a trout fisherman at the mouth of the ganny. It even made the paper here. If your stuck on shore and cant make it to quinte give rice or the bog a try at night.

I've never had an issue at Gagnon's either. It's the only tackle shop between Toronto and Kingston, that I've been to, that actually has what you're looking for, and the staff has always been friendly and polite to me. They actually have more than 1 person working there!!!

Again guys just my own experience with customer service, I'm not trying to imply don't give them business I was meaning more toward advice. They do have competitive prices and great sales and it is always nice to support the little guys.

Oshawa Walleye.....Well I can tell you from tons of experience most of the walleye caught in the are are an incidental catch, and usually in the Oshawa Harbor area. I would not make it my 1st choice for Walleye. As far as Gagnons goes I have been shopping there for years and they are pretty helpful, I will admit possibly more helpful if they know you.

just a little more of what my fishing pal jim lyon said...... a few walleye are caught each yr around the mouth of the oshawa creek where it runs into the marina and harbor.. and yes back in early aug a nice fish was caught over 10 pounds.. i fish there almost every day and they are few and far between although they have been seen up the river aways spawning in the spring but this was a few yrs ago..... if you are looking for steelhead or salmon then thta is a good place to go......as for gagnons.... good store good people.. get to know the people who work there, and you will find them knowledgeable and helpful......

about 7 years ago I caught about a 9lbs Walleye off the mouth of Bowmanville casting a glow cleo at night and a friend caught one off Ajax in August on a spindoctor fly on a wire diver trolling for salmon.
years ago we used to catch them quite often of the pickering power plant at night but you would get a few one night then nothing for the next couple of nights then you would get a couple more another night although we did have one night between 2 guys we caught atleast 30 casting stick baits

I bet a focused effort could produce some locations and patterns similar to Quinte. It might not have the volume of walleye but I think it would be fairly priveate.
