In-line planer board advice?

This board is a wonderful resource for those like me whose "fishing knowledge" is close to zero. I just got the help I needed on the Mann Stretch 20 and now I have another question. My husband has an in-line planer board system that he used at Quinte (the only thing I know about his current system is that it is neon yellow and he seems quite thrilled with it:)), but he wants the smaller system. I asked his Dad about it and this is what he wrote:

"They hook right onto the fishing line instead of a mast. They are much smaller and have a red flag on them. There are both left and right ones and he would need 2 of each. The idea is to be able to fish with four lines at once instead of two.I don't know that much about them myself as I have never used them but a lot of boats had them at quinte."

Can anyone out there provide guidance as to brand names/models that I should look at for this type of thing that would be good for walleye fishing at Quinte. If I can get this right, I think I will be finished with the Christmas shopping!!!

Anne, you can get what you're looking for at LeBaron's at the following site http://www.lebaron.ca/ .

You'll likely want to buy two, one that runs on the left side and one for the right side of the boat. If you're looking to get only one bear in mind that the left handed model runs on the left hand side of the boat as one trolls, etc.

Anne..It sounds like you're referring to Off-Shore boards. In my opinion, they're one of the best on the market. As for where to get them locally..can't help, but they can be ordered on-line from Cabelas, Bass Pro, or direct from Off-Shore. I have tried a few different in-line planner boards, I like the off-shore the best. LeBaron carries them but I was there two weeks ago and they were out. You can check to see if they got more in, otherwise someone else posted the other sources!

I purchased a set from Cabelas. If your in the Belleville area try
Quinte Outdoor Sports. The last time I was in there they had some.
I think they also had the flag kits that attach to the boards. The
flag kit was as much or more than the board itself. Good Luck BATMAN
