Launched at Picton in the dark (almost ran over Grizzly, Sorry again Grizz) and motored to thompsons pt. Set lines by 720 or so. Fished there for a while, then burned down to the Red Barn. It was deadsville down there. Burned back towards the ferry and trolled from there to Picton harbour for the rest of the day. Total score was 0 for 0... What a beautiful day for a boat ride. Hopefully the bite turns back on soon because we only have about a month of softwater left and the vex comes out...

lol. not a problem buddy . i was watching lol......... fishing has been tough thats for sure dont feel ashamed many good guys out there this weekend with little to show for the efforts other than some time on the water and a good chance to tune baits and most had to surch hard and dig deep into there bag of tricks to eeek out what they could......... we boated 6 fish today of course 4 were sheepies but we did manage 2 quality eyes so all in all we called it a good day. not great but good and as they say a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work lol. keep tryin. best is still to come...... grizz

My Buddy and I launched at the Ferry in the AM....thought I was going to loose my jeep at the launch. My trailer brakes weren't working and even though I was pretty much standing on those in the vehicle, as a last ditch effort, jammed it in drive.

Finally got the boat in and my cranking battery was dead! Of course, I had enough power to put the motor down originally so then had to switch to get the trim working again so I didn't drag the skeg. I think one of the banks in my on-board charger is fried and didn't want to mess around so back on the trailer she went.

I hade my long rods with me too so made a stop at the Hydro plant with my buddy to at least wet a line. He had a good size salmon on for a while so made his day. It was his first salmon he's ever hooked and fought so we had a lot of laughs.

Wasn't a complete loss in the end and have to look at the positives...

Cheers,
Paul

I too was skunked on Sunday, fished Keiths to the cave, then headed into Thompsons to try for any size fish. Nothing. Been a rough October for me, bring on November!
