hi guy's, i'm new to fishing the bay and was wondering if there is any good shore fishing in bellville? any info would be welcome. thanks big ed

hey not sure where you are in belleville but the belleville harbour has some good fall fishing off the rock wall down at myers pier, there is a rock break wall that wraps around the whole docking area, fish on the outside of that at night should have some luck, hope this helps..

Try everywhere you can access the water without trespassing. Use a shallow bait (husky jerk works for me) and keep trying till you find the fish. You will probably get skunked the first couple of times but you will find them!

Yeah what they said x2 .... I was down there last night from 1-3am nothing at all but there were minnows that someone was using on the rocks and a blood spot where someone killed one by the gills :-) but it wasn't me. Had to be from last night because the birds would of had the minnows in day light.

thanks for the replies. i live in oshawa and have not fished the bay in 30 years. i'm hoping to get out a few times before freeze up. good luck to all. big ed

If I was you I would give rice lake a try before it closes mon night at 12 it's been ok at goers landing at night from shore
