Went out fishing off the dock right before dark (around 3:45) and fished a C.C. Shad in black/silver as slowly as possible. At our shore the water drops off from 1ft to 17ft in a hurry. After about 30 casts I retrieved the bait back about 2/3 the way (probably at the spot where it jumps from 10ft-5ft) and just let the bait sit there while I talked to the wife. Went to bring it back the rest of the way, but no sooner did the bait twitch than a 10 lb 1 oz walleye crushed it.
Awesome.
I carried it 2 doors down to my brother in Laws to gently rub it in. Showed him what I was using, only a different colour (blue on chartreuse). His dad borrowed for 2 casts and nailed a 9lb 15 oz.
. I love Hay Bay.
Thanks for all the tips, and helping me get a new PB.
If I ever figure out how to post pictures I'll do so.
