Hi members,

I know there is a public ramp beside Robert Patrick Marine in Trenton, we normal call the ramp is Trenton Arena Ramp.
Need help to get information of depth of water and what lure should I use, Can I use Bobber fishing for walleye there?
and any walleye being caught in this time of year? I don't have a boat but want to shore fishing there.

Thanks in advance!
Crappie

Your better off parking at the Price Chopper next door to the ramp and fishing from shore there by the bridge, bobbers and minnows work great and so do jigs, its 12-17 ft just depends how far you can cast :-) crankbaits are good there at night too both sides of the river ....

You can go to the point at the marina it drops of to 18ft deep at 3ft from shore.

Thanks for information. Is the marina allow for shore fishing?
I don't want to go to the marina's property to fish if they are private property.

Thanks again

no its not private park at the arena and walk around to the opening for the marina. Other side of the river is good along side cold storage. I dont do much shore fishing but i hear of lots of fish coming in down by number 1 dam.

Sorry, I forget to ask when is the season close in this area in Trenton. I just look at the Ministry Regulation if Trenton in Zone 17 and it should be closed already. Can anyone tell me Trenton falls into which Zone?

Thanks again!

Hi Wayne,

Thanks again for your information and you always help us out. Last year you gave me lots of information about ice fishing in this area and warning me for the current over this area.
I didn't hava a chance to go out last ice fishing season cause I hurt my ankle during indoor soccer. Hopefully I can try this year.
Btw, where is first dam? does it on the Arena side?

Thanks again!

Go north on West St.until you get to the recycle place turn left go to end of Rd.and park follow the the trail on the right to the dam. Best place from shore is on the west side of the river.from the dam down to the rapids.
