we started out at first light with many many other boats and headed out trolling the picton bay after the first hr or 2 we decided to head to thompson's and troll and do some jiggin,we were jigging for another hr or so and went back to trolling and having zero luck at all,we really didnt have much luck at all and after lunch we tried jiggin a bit more and finally got a sweet hit and the fish felt like it had some decent weight on it but when i got it to the boat mary had a 4-5 lb little lamb, nuthing after that for a little bit and at 1 point counted 35 boats all around thompson's point, around 2pm my luck changed and was starting to get some good hit's using the w7 jiggin rap perch color landed 4 walleye within the next 1-2 hrs, nuthing of any size and the biggest around 2 lbs and 1 tiny eye,so i went 5 for 5 with 4 eyes and 1 lamb.all fish were released,we did find a decent spot between thompson's heading towards the reach found a good drop off and had some good perch action. must say that didnt last long as we of course were here for eye's and the perch was fun but back to fishing real fish..nuthing after this for us unfortunately, but we did have fun and enjoyed some of the company we met while trolling and talking to some good guys.
must say it was great to see the MNR out looking at licenses and being there to make sure everyone was following rules.
