the jig bite sure was on this past sunday,we (2 people) jigged from 9.00 am till about 3.30 pm and caught approx. 25 fish ranging from 1.5 to 9.00 lbs, sorry no pictures, most were around 2-3 lbs . the three largest fish were approx. 5, 7, and 9 lbs, caught in 24 to 32 fow.
between thompsons and shermans. most fish came on #9 jigging rapalas in various colours. long casts seemed to be the ticket for the larger ones. it was a great day out with only a handfull of boats out jigging. we usually fish that area twice a week and noticed some bigger fish are moving in, hopefully they will stick around for a while.on a sad note, i lost my hard to find blue glowtiger #9 during a long cast.hope this answers your question jeepboy .

good luck.
Hans.

Not lately, earlier in the season we were getting them mostly around the ferry, we did mark some around thompsons but they tend to be up a little higher off the bottom. love catching them, took my daughter out early in the fall and had a blast . We do get some silver bass , perch and e few pike this year.
