Nice pictures and a nice "pic" from the kayak!
I'm thinking of getting into kayak fishing, do you have any recommendations for what kayak, length, weight etc?
thanks for any info..

There's a whole ton of different kayaks out there, and now is a good time to get one at a good price.
The 3 most popular kayaks for fishing probably is Hobie ..Outback which is peddled powered..hands free,
Wilderness System..Tarpon 140 and Ocean Kayak..Trident 13. A general rule is to try to try it out on the water before buying..Dealers often have demos in the spring. There's a trend now of making yaks better for stand up fishing. Things to consider is type of water on for main use..shorter 10-12' good for small rivers,
14-16' more stable on big water. Also Sit on Top..wetter but more stable ride vs. a Sit in ..dryier.
Also how are you going to transport it..my 13' Perception Search fits on roof rack nicely.
There's a bunch of info out there on the net.
For safety it's important to practice self rescue...getting back in/ on yak and on cold water should have
waders with belt and a dry top ( cuffs at wrists and neck) or a whole dry suit.
Hope that helps.
