Can anyone tell me if icefishing in the Picton area is generally pretty good? I Know it's good in the fall, does that continue through the winter months or do they move on from there?

It depends on what you consider the area. There is fishing at Sherman`Point out from the boat ramp, fishing in front of the Hay Bay Church and all the way up to Deseronto. There is probably enough ice now in the east end of Hay Bay for safe fishing. As any other time its feast or famine.

Thanks for the reply Dennis. The reason I asked is we are going to be staying at Merland Park and when I asked how the ice fishing normally is there he didn't sound very convincing. All he could say was he had seen them with a camera.I know he's fairly new there so thats why I was hoping someone else could give me the low down.If I need to I will stay there and rent huts elsewhere.
