Made it out this morning on the bay. There was just under 2" of solid black ice, with lots of holes with only 1/4" of ice, and some open water. Fishing was dead. 9 guys on the ice, and I did not see anyone with fish. Even perch were hard to find. Lots of small perch near shore, but that's about it.

Weather warms up this week, so I've put the ice hut away and got the boat ready!!

Hope everyone made it off the ice safe. That doesn't sound like ideal conditions.

Looking at the weather, I can't see there being much safe ice until late next weekend/early next week.

I think is awfull all over the place. Was down to Point Anne for a look see yesterday, porous ice, someone drilled a couple of holes about 20 feet from shore.
