You can fish were ever you want if you can get it in. Guys fish down by the ferry because the Bath boat launch is open. More Launches could be open by now with all this stupid weather.

Don't know about the ferry? With the way the weather is Finkles might be open all winter.

I don't think there's going to be many open boat launches for very much longer.

Check out this Weather Network 14 forecast for Belleville....

http://www.theweathernetwork.com/fourte ... 4day_table

It goes below freezing on Wednesday and they aren't forecasting a day above for the rest of the period. I think there will be safe ice on the weekend and we will likely be on there to stay...Until March anyway...

i went to bed last nite with heavy winds, next morning river completely open as far as i could see including the shoreline . any one seen if it had the same effect at glenora? brand new year means brand new sick days from work but looks like only till Friday well below 0 starting sat and it will be back to hard water.I am curious if picton bay also got blown open, winds were over 50ks.
cheers, gordo

Picton bay this morning is frozen still. Open water from glenora Marina and east. You can not launch at the ferry. The little bay the launch is in is frozen still. Pretty much wide open shore to shore though east of glenora Marina. Great day to fish today.

The marina does have a launch. Normally they close up around early Dec. Typically they pull out a dock and block the launch with equipment and the dock. I don't think they would move things this time of year for a $10 launch. I didn't even look to see if the launch was clear. I would guess the launch is iced up as the little bays and slack water areas are still iced up.

Best place to launch is Finkles.
