i went to check out potters at 4:30 today, and looked real bad. 2" at least of slush on top, and no ice at the edge, I would say about 5-10' from shore before there was harder ice. I threw a couple large rocks, high into the air. One went through about 10' out, the other hit and sounded firm, just past the other. I would say it is very unpredictable, and not worth the risk. I will see if I can get the pictures off my blackberry to post.

Got home from work early today and glassed West Lake. A lot of slush in close to shore and big open holes in many places. Will be atleast a week before it is safe.
