Was gonna do a write up on my outing with Iceguy & Komo in his Starcraft but once I learned Iceguy was in the process of putting together a vid from our day I thought I'd wait; I know I rather watch a vid rather than read

Went 14/14 on the day and 1 pike, biggest 2 walleye were' 11.15# and 11.60#

Be sure to watch at least in 720p, preferably 1080p.

Great video guys!! I think I had worse weather when I went in November, and only 2 fish for my efforts.

Great vid and nice fish, I do wish it wasn't possible for you to make that vid in January, but you clearly took advantage of the open water.

Gman

That was a great video by Iceman, very imaginative camera shots and angles, that's hard to do when the boat is rocking and rolling and the fish are coming to the net.

I had conversed with Mark after you got back and he posted the results, what a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The day before we couldn't find a walleye in that area and the next day they were on fire.

It's a nice thing when a plan comes together and the results prove the effort required.

Good Job

David aka Superdad

PS, Bath ramp is still open - Stay Tuned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi superdad, i read your post for jan 8/12 what a difference a day makes, my question to you is: On the 8th you were running a small tin with a 15 merc? i believe from looking at the pictures, how long does it take to get from finkles launch to east of the ferry?

Good to hear you're liking the vid! You never know if you have some good footage or not and how it's going to look all pieced together, I believe we missed for first 2-3 fish as we were busy trying to get the rods in the water! Was a blast for Jan9th and a great way to kick of the New Year that's for sure. I think the latest I've been out before this year was Jan 8th back in '04!

BrightonBayBassPro - Neither the Go Pro or a Contour was used, it was actually a Panasonic 1080p video cam. I think the POV cameras are neat for capturing some cool shots but the quality & battery life just isn't there yet for my liking and once you get the additional accessories and batteries you're up to about $700+. I think it would be cool to use a POV in conjunction with a traditional video camera and just edit in some of the cool footage.

gordo1000islands - We just drove down for the day.

Superdad - Komo is a lot of fun to fish with. The ticket for the day was high and SLOW. Would love to see you get out next week as it looks like another mild spell is on the way :)

Cheers G.
