Back in the summer I had the young boy's and stopped at Steenburg lake for a quick fish. Not knowing where the boat launch was I stopped and asked 3 different people where the boat launch would be. Each person sharply replied there isn't one. I know there must be but where (for summer use)? Secondly I'd really like to ice fish this lake. Anyone able to help me where the access points would be and a starting point on the lake for splake?

I work with u guy who said they are slamming the splake through the ice there right now. As far as access to the lake. Afriend of mine has a cottage on Robinson lake just down the highway and he should be able to answer that question. I will get back to ya.

ya have to make sure that they dont close the lake it happens all the time in those north lakes as for acess i say the beach on out to the island if ya can make it there was at one point in time if you go further down by an old house there it takes ya to the nortth end of the lake you could go out there too not sure now and of course knowing someone up there is the best :)

I know there should be public access if they are stocking it, but the lake that our cottage on doesn't have a 'clear' public access point anymore. It used to have a boat launch that has since grown over because no one maintains it. That being said, they still dump splake in the lake because there is 'public access.' Ministry cuts and improper allocation of money just continue to make headaches for everyone!

We use to rent out the cabin at the conservation park called Mcgeachie's first place right after the beach. Don't see why you couldn't park there and access the lake by crossing the road.Never fished the lake just used for snowmobiling head quarters. I believe from my trail riding days the boat launch is to the south of the guard rail at the beach. Good luck , K.M.B.F.

There was a launch at the beach got closed down after some guy in a jeep tore it all up. For summer access keep going west there is a marina you can launch at.

There is a small launch right on steenburg lake rd N, right next to the beach type area where the porta-pottis are, pretty much right when you first come into view of the lake. That sand beach is also a good spot to start fishing in front of. That is where we ice fish from and get on at. The guy I ice fish with there puts his boat in as well
