I was reading an article in the ontario out of doors magazine regarding a true and tested technique to catch walleye through the ice and wanted to get your opinion on this technique, they say drill two holes about 3 to 4' apart, in one hole jig a lipless rattling lure such as a Rat'IL'NRap for the aggressive eyes and dead stick a jig or spoon tipped with a minnow/shiner in the other hole to catch the non aggressive eyes that may come in due to the noise of the fore mentioned.
What are your thoughts on this method
Thanks

Yes lipless rattle baits work.
The lindy darter is a hot seller around this neck of the woods.
Good to have one guy using one in shack. :D

I constantly use that technique, some days it works and other days it doesn't.

I have had small success with this technique, but mostly due to only trying it a few times. Its a great option if you dont have a flasher, but once I got one and I started seeing the fish come into the aggressive jigging but not bite, reel up and toss something else down seems to work well too. I love deadsticking with a spoon and lively minnow just enough action to flash the spoon and bring in those reluctant biters.
