check out the Moira at dusk by the train bridge. There might be few walleye there chasing shad... no wonder they are not biting during the day, they are plugged from feeding all night.

The trent seems to be giving up a bunch at night as well i heard, but not certain.

My friends and I fish a few lakes up north where we do almost exclusively night fishing for walleye (and some musky.) When we do, we go into shallow water and troll minnow imitators above weeds with above average results. Usually we don't go into water deeper than 12' or where there is no cover for the bait fish that the Walters are dining on. Where we fish between the shore and water 12' deep depends on the fish (and on the height of the weeds) so we cover different depths when we first head out. I would say average depth is 6-7'.

I have night fished on Quinte a few times with mixed results. I used the same tactics as above with some luck on some nights but on others nada.

If you have never done it before, night fishing is its own adventure and requires some extra care, precaution and preparation. Don't let that scare you though, some of the best fishing I have ever done was long after everyone else had scurried off the lake at dusk.
